now on show at Montacute House, Somerset.
Recently Christopher Hartop has
negotiated the sale of antique family silver
to various National Trust houses including
Uppark, The Vyne and Ickworth.
Christopher Hartop has curated several exhibitions in recent years including: Eating and Drinking in Georgian England (COPIA, the American Center for Food, Wine and the Arts, 2003); East Anglian Silver, 1550-1750 (Norwich Cathedral Treasury, 2004); Royal Goldsmiths, 1797-1843: the Art of Rundell & Bridge (Koopman Rare Art, 2005, to benefit the Prince’s Trust); and The Classical Ideal: English Silver, 1760-1840 (Koopman Rare Art, 2010, to benefit Sir John Soane’s Museum).
